Volunteer

We are a volunteer-run organization and rely on help from you to fulfill our mission.

Volunteer opportunities include:
  *distribute pet food at a scheduled distribution event 
  *rebag food into smaller sizes
  *transfer food in your personal car from the food storage area 
    to the distribution site on distribution day
  *pick up food donations in your personal car from donation
    drop-off locations and bring them to the food storage area
  *organize, publicize, and implement pet food drives
  *organize a yard sale or bake sale or other fundraising event
    to benefit the Piedmont Pet Pantry
  *hang Piedmont Pet Pantry posters on bulletin boards and in
    public places to encourage food and money donations;

We are in need of the following:
  *low cost or free metal shelving for pet food storage
  *free storage location for pet food in Charlottesville, preferably
    on the south side of town near Avon Street or 5th Street
