Dog and cat food donations, both dry and canned, are needed to keep our mission alive. Food donations are being accepted at various locations in the Charlottesville community including:

Pet food distributions in July 2010 totaled 7,762 pounds to 213 families for 489 dogs and 370 cats.

Thank you for supporting the Piedmont Pet Pantry and its parent organization, the Extra Mile Dog Rescue, by shopping at Whole Foods Market in Charlottesville during the month of May. By using your own reusable bags to carry your groceries home, you donated $784.10 dollars to the Extra Mile Dog Rescue.

Please continue to shop at the Whole Foods Market in Charlottesville and support its community giving programs. The market is located at 300 Shoppers World Court off Route 29 across from one of the entrances to Fashion Square Mall. Whole Foods is open Monday through Saturday 8am - 10pm and Sunday 8am - 9pm.
